The police issued six prohibition notices after being called to three house parties in South Belfast in the past 24 hours.
The PSNI have warned that the "health restrictions are not a game" as they issued 39 fixed penalty notices and issued six prohibition notices for breaching the coronavirus restrictions after being called to the parties.
Police had originally said that 44 fixed penalty notices had been handed out, 41 COV1 and three COV3.
They were called to two addresses on University Avenue and Sandymount Street at around midnight, following reports of loud parties and a large number of people at the properties.
A third party was reported in Castle Street earlier in the evening, where there was also a large number of people in attendance.
Officers handed out 39 COV4 fines of £200 for breaching gathering restrictions.
Ten community resolution notices were also given to party-goers.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Over the past 24 hours, Police have been called to attend three separate reports of house parties in the South Belfast area.
"We issued, two Covid 2 notices, three Covid 3 notices, forty one Covid 4 notices and ten Community Resolution Notices.
"People must understand that the current health restrictions are not a game. Across Northern Ireland, people are making sacrifices, not visiting family members or friends and businesses have temporarily closed.
"We will continue our patrols to ensure people follow the Health Protection Regulations to stop the spread of Covid-19."
Chief Inspector Sayers said: “Appropriate action was taken by officers in issuing Covid notices to those attending these parties and I would like to re-iterate our message that people must understand that the current health restrictions are not a game. Across Northern Ireland, people are making sacrifices, not visiting family members or friends and businesses have temporarily closed.
“People congregating or travelling to parties really need to consider their actions for their own health and that of the wider community.”
