Police issue 34-hour dispersal order in part of Wigan due to 'ongoing anti-social behaviour'

Police have issued a dispersal order in an area in Wigan due to ongoing anti-social behaviour issues.

The order will be in place in the Winstanley area from 5pm on Friday, October 30 to 3am on Sunday, November 1.

A dispersal order gives police officers and PCSOs the power to direct a group who have engaged or likely to engage in anti-social behaviour to leave an area and not return for a period of time.

GMP Wigan West said: "There will be a dispersal order in place in the Winstanley area from Friday 30th October 2020 at 17:00 till Sunday 1st November 2020 at 03:00.

"This is to assist the area team with the ongoing issues of anti-social behaviour in the area."
