Police investigation under way after huge cannabis farm found on outskirts on Nottingham

This picture shows a large cannabis grow found by police at a property on the outskirts of the city.

Officers discovered around 150 plants in Andover Close, in the Beechdal area, on Tuesday (July 7) at around 6.30pm.

No-one was in the property at the time and inquiries are ongoing to establish who lives there.

Neighbourhood Inspector Gordon Fenwick, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We're actively working to put an end to drug supply and production in the Broxtowe area and we will always take reports of this nature seriously.

"Drug taking can fuel all manner of crimes and cause many issues for people living nearby so it's important that we act on any information that we receive as well as conduct our own covert and overt operations."
