Detectives are working to understand the circumstances surrounding the death of woman in Mansfield.
Officers were called to a house in Armstrong Road in Mansfield at 4.38pm on Tuesday, December 17, following reports of the "sudden death" of a woman at the property.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and the family of the woman are being supported.
Nottinghamshire Police remain at the scene to continue their investigations.
Detective Sergeant Matt Scott said: “Nottinghamshire Police were called to an address on Armstrong Road, Mansfield, at 4.38pm today (Tuesday 17 December 2019) following a report of the sudden death of a woman at the property.
“The woman’s death is currently being treated as unexplained. Detectives remain at the scene as they continue their work to understand the circumstances surrounding the death.
“The woman’s family is being supported by specially-trained officers at this time.”
