Police are investigating after shots were fired at a house in Fallowfiled.
Officers were called to Westray Road, off Birchfields Road, at around 11.50am on Saturday.
A cordon was in place for most of the day and a police investigation launched.
No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police received a report through the online reporting system at 11.51 today of damage to a property in Westray Road.
"There was a report of potential damage to the property from gunshots.
"No arrests have been made, the scene has been closed and the road reopened.
"An investigation is ongoing."
