A 53-year-old man has died suddenly at his home in Ayr.
Police have launched an investigation after the death within a property at Woodlands Crescent in the town's Belmont area around 11am on Saturday, January 30.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained with a post-mortem due to take place.
Officers say there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Ayr received a report around 11am on Saturday, January 30, of the sudden death of a 53-year-old man within a property on Woodlands Crescent.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post-mortem examination, but there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
