Police are investigating the sudden death of a young man in Cardiff .
Emergency services were called to the scene of an incident at woodland next to Trelai Park in Ely at around 4pm on Monday.
South Wales Police said despite attempts to save the 22-year-old man from the local area, he was pronounced dead shortly after at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
A spokesman said: "His family are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.
"An investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident is now underway."
