Police investigating reports of cannabis farm at Stirling city centre property

Police are investigating reports of a cannabis farm at a premises in the city centre this morning.

Officers attended the property in the city's Murray Place at around 10.30am on Wednesday after a being tipped off.

A heavy police presence was visible, with officers standing guard at a lane just off the street and numerous police vehicles parked nearby.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Stirling Observer : “Around 10.30am on Wednesday, April 7, officers received a report of a cannabis cultivation within a premises on Murray Place in Stirling.

“Enquires are ongoing and a police presence will remain for a number of days.”

Three police vehicles were at the location at one point and witnesses have also reported seeing Scottish Power workers at the scene.

Murray Place was not cordoned off as police continue to investigate the premises.
