Police investigating Motherwell town centre assault

Police are investigating a report of an assault which took place in Motherwell on Sunday night.

Officers were called to the incident on April 17 just after 8pm in Brandon Street.

A 43-year-old man was on the street near to the Brandon Bar where he was knocked unconscious and thereafter kicked while on the ground.

Officers are also investigating a report of an assault that took place about 1am on April 7 at Sandyford Place, Motherwell.

Elsewhere, a 53-year-old man was assaulted while mounting his motorbike whereby he was struck to the head from behind and thereafter repeatedly assaulted while on the ground.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and body and required medical treatment at Wishaw General.

Anyone with any information in relation to any of the incidents above is asked to contact police on 101.
