NSW Police have launched an investigation into a brutal brawl that broke out during an NRL finals match in Shark Park.
On Saturday, Sydney’s Shark Park hosted the NRL finals match between Cronulla Sharks and Sydney Roosters when a wild brawl, reportedly involving up to ten spectators, broke out in the stands.
According to footage that has surfaced on social media, a bunch of fans can be seen punching on, as someone called out, “Where’s the police, c**t”.
Police and stewards at the stadium forced their way in to help break up the brawl.

Per The Daily Telegraph, it’s not known what sparked the fight. However, the NRL, NSW Police and venue operators are working together to identify the individuals involved.
“The NRL is working with both the venue and NSW Police regarding the incident,” an NRL spokesperson said, per the publication.
“All supporters who attend NRL games are subject to the NRL Spectator Code of Conduct. Anyone found breaching the required standards can expect to be subject to significant sanctions, including being banned from venues.”
During a press conference on Sunday, NSW Premier Chris Minns slammed those involved in the brawl, labelling the act as “disgraceful”.
“I just implore people to respect the fact that a lot of people take their kids to the football. They go there with their families, they expect to have a safe, fun and enjoyable time with their family and to see a couple of thugs punch on and the football is just disgraceful,” he said, The Daily Telegraph reports.
“The police will throw the book at you, and you might face lifetime bans, and someone who loves their football team may never see the inside of a football stadium again if they carry on like that.”
Police have urged anyone with footage or any information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
