Police investigating housebreaking in Glasgow south side share CCTV images of man

Police investigating a housebreaking in the south side of Glasgow have released CCTV images of a man as part of their enquiries.

Officers are probing the disturbing incident which took place on Deanswood Avenue in the Netherlee area of Glasgow this August.

The detective behind the investigation says they they are eager to speak to the man in the images, who is described as being white, around 5ft 7 in height, with short blond or grey hair shaved at the sides and stubble on his chin.

Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.

A police statement issued this morning (Tuesday) advised: "Police Scotland has released images of a man they believe may hold information which might assist in relation to a housebreaking at an address in Deanswood Avenue, in the Netherlee area of Glasgow, which took place around 3.10am Tuesday, 3 August, 2021.

"The man is described as being white, around 5ft 7 in height, with short blond or grey hair shaved at the sides and stubble on his chin. He was wearing a light-coloured Hugo Boss tracksuit top and bottoms."

Detective Constable Diane Robertson said: "As part of this ongoing investigation, we are eager to speak to the man in the images, as we believe he may have information that can assist. We would appeal to him and anyone who recognises him, or who has any information, to come forward."

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0625 of 3 August, 2021. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
