Police investigating hijacking in Dungannon as woman pulled out of car and threatened with a knife

Detectives are investigating after a woman's car was hijacked in Dungannon town centre on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the 30-year-old was threatened by two men armed with a knife, who pulled her from a white Mercedes A Class in Union Place at around 5.45pm.

A PSNI spokesperson added: "The pair then made off in the car in the direction of Greers Road.

"The driver was left extremely shaken by the ordeal.

"The hijackers are described as one being in his 40s or 50s, the other in his 20s and both wearing hoodies.

"Police are asking anyone who sees the car, registration OY1 4XPP, or who knows the whereabouts or identity of the suspects to contact police by calling 101, quoting reference 1573 07/10/20."
