Police investigating death of a child in Newtownabbey

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a child in Co Antrim .

A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish the cause of death in the Fernagh Drive area of Newtownabbey on Sunday 15 December.

A PSNI spokesperson said: Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a child in the Fernagh Drive area on Sunday, 15th December.

"There are no further details at this time."
