Police investigating break in at Stockport gun shop

Police are investigating a burglary at a gun shop in Stockport.

The break in happened at the Cheshire Gun Room just before midnight on Monday (June 3).

It is not yet known if anything was taken during the incident.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly before 23.50pm on Monday 3 June 2019, police were called to reports of a burglary at a premises on Buxton Road, Stockport.

"Officers attended and established that offenders had forced their way into the property and fled.

"It is not yet known if anything was stolen in the burglary. Enquiries are ongoing."
