Police have launched an investigation after a young man was found dead at his home in Newry last night.
The man was discovered in the Springfarm Heights area of the city and police said a postmortem is due to be carried out.
A PSNI spokesperson added: "Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found dead at his home last night in the Springfarm Heights area of Newry.
"A postmortem will be conducted to establish the cause of death. There are no further details at this time."
Newry & Armagh Sinn Féin MLA Liz Kimmins has expressed her condolences.
She said: “I am shocked and saddened at the tragic news of the sudden death of a young man.
"My first thoughts are with the family of the deceased as they try to deal with the sudden loss of a loved one.
"Details into the circumstances of the tragic death of this young man are unclear and police are currently investigating”.
