Police investigating after sudden death of young dad Damian McFall in Tyrone

Police in Northern Ireland are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a young dad in  Co Tyrone.

Damien McFall, 28, from Dungannon was found 10 miles away in Pomeroy on Saturday.

He had been missing for a number of days - Belfast Live reports.

Earlier on Saturday a number of his friends and family had used social media messages to ask for help to find him.

It is understood Mr McFall had been last seen by them three days earlier.

Today Mr McFall’s sister urged the public to help their devastated family piece together his last movements and share her plea.

Samantha, 20, said: “We have been given information but can’t get to the bottom of it.

“He died just one month after his son was born.

“As a family of nine including six brothers and sisters, we are completely distraught.

“We need info. My family needs closure.

“We as a family are asking anyone who seen this boy moments before his death to please come forward.

“We, a family of nine, have been left without a brother, son, father and uncle.

“Someone is bound to have seen something or know something.

“Can we share this so my mother and father can grieve the death of their son properly.

“I want to thank everyone who shared the missing person post.”

A PSNI spokeswoman said: “ Police  are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man whose body was found off the  Lime Hill Road in Pomeroy  on the afternoon of Saturday 25 April.

“A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.”
