Police investigating after reports of people shooting at cars with air rifle

A police investigation is underway after reports of people firing at cars with an air rifle - leaving one vehicle damaged.

The weapon was reportedly being fired from a banking on the side of the A46 in Newark at around 6.20pm on Sunday, May 12.

Officers say no one was injured but one car was damaged in the incident.

A Newark Police spokesperson added: "No one was hurt but one car was reported to have been damaged. Witnesses are urged to call Notts Police on 101."
