Police investigating after man shot on Wythenshawe street

A man suffered a foot injury after gunshots were fired in Wythenshawe.

The victim, in his 20s, arrived at hospital with the non-life threatening injury following the shooting on Bideford Drive.

Photos from the scene showed forensic officers combing the area for clues late on Sunday evening (November 8).

The area was taped off by police.

An investigation has been launched.

No arrests have been made, a spokeswoman for GMP said.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for GMP said: "At around 6.50pm on Sunday, November 8, police were called to reports of a firearms discharge on Bideford Drive, Wythenshawe.

"Officers attended.

"A man in his 20s has since presented at hospital with a non life-threatening foot injury.

"An investigation is underway.

"No arrests have been made."
