Police investigating after man dies from abdominal injuries at Nowra on NSW South Coast

A man has died on the New South Wales South Coast after being found unconscious with abdominal wounds near central Nowra.

Police were called to Nowra Lane near Worrigee Street just before 4.20am where they discovered the man and commenced CPR.

Despite their efforts he died a short time later at Shoalhaven Hospital.

Police have established a crime scene at Nowra Lane and forensic specialists are examining the area.

People are being asked to avoid the area around Nowra Lane near Worrigee Street.

Police have urged anyone with information or who may have dashcam vision from the area to contact Nowra police or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
