NSW Police have confirmed that a Muslim cemetery in Sydney’s south-west has been vandalised with decapitated pig heads and other animal parts.
According to The Guardian, police were informed of the pig heads at the entrance to the Narellan cemetery at around 6am on Monday.

“Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and found several pig heads at the scene,” police said in a statement obtained by the publication.
“The pig heads have since been removed and disposed of appropriately.”
Police have not determined if this horrific incident had any links to Sunday’s Bondi terror attack, in which 16 people were killed, and 40 more were injured.
The devastating shooting took place during Bondi’s Chanukkah by the Sea, a celebration of the first night of Hanukkah.

Islamic funeral service director Ahmad Hraichie posted about the incident on his Instagram, writing that the perpetrator is “showing a lack of humanity”.
“Today, at Narellan Cemetery, in the Muslim section, pig heads were thrown onto graves. To whoever did this: you have proven nothing except hatred. You are not a solution to any problem — you are part of the problem,” he wrote.
“This is pure stupidity. It achieves nothing. It only fuels anger, pain, and division. We do not need more people being revved up and amped up by cowardly actions like this.
“If you want peace, this is not the way. If you want justice, this is not the way. All you are doing is showing a lack of humanity.”
Police said inquiries into the incident at the Muslim cemetery are ongoing.
On Sunday night, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese classified the Bondi Beach shooting as a terrorist attack. Some of the victims — including a 10-year-old girl and a Holocaust survivor — are beginning to be identified.
NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon revealed that the 24-year-old alleged gunman responsible for the attack is likely to survive his injuries and said he’s likely to face criminal charges for the attack.
Australia’s Jewish community have condemned the attacks alongside world leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
Lifeblood Australia and NSW Premier Chris Minns have urged Aussies to donate blood, especially those with O negative blood types.
