Police investigating after £700 sunglasses were stolen from Tynemouth shop

Police are investigating after two pairs of expensive sunglasses worth a total £700 were stolen from a shop in Tynemouth.

Northumbria Police received a report of a theft of sunglasses at Concept Eye Clinic, on Front Street, shortly after 2.30pm on May 31.

It is believed that two pairs of sunglasses worth a total of £700 were taken from the shop.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and police have now identified a woman who they would like to speak to in connection with the alleged theft.

She was believed to have been in the shop at the time of the incident and could have vital information that could assist officers with the investigation.

The woman, or anyone who recognises them, is asked to call police on 101 and quote reference number 626 31/05/19 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
