Police are appealing for information following a suspicious incident after a report that a man approached a young girl while she waited for an ice cream.
Officers in Merthyr Tydfil are investigating the incident near the Gurnos Ring Road at approximately 1.20pm on Monday, July 13.
It is understood the man – who has been described as white with a chunky build, wearing high-vis clothing - was driving a small silver van and got out of his vehicle to speak to the girl.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Officers are appealing for anybody who may have seen what happened, or who noticed anybody acting suspiciously, to come forward.
"The man himself is also urged to come forward to explain his actions.
"An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing."
