Police investigate suspicious death of man found dead within house in Wishaw

Police sealed off a street in Wishaw this morning as investigations began into the suspicious death of a man who was found injured in a house.

Cops and paramedics raced to McGregor Street in the Craigneuk area of the town after they received a report that a man had been found injured.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police cordoned off a house with a grey Vauxhall car sitting on its drive, while a policewoman stood guard outside.

Access to a number of properties in the street was restricted with police tape being put in place on the approach to the house from both directions.

The man’s identity has not been revealed but his death is being treated as suspicious and police are appealing for information.
