Police investigate spate of bike thefts in Perth with three stolen in just a week

Police are investigating three separate thefts of bikes in the space of a week in Perth.

The spate started sometimes between Monday, September 28 and Wednesday, September 30 when a purple Giant Roma Hybrid bike was stolen from the grounds of Perth College.

Then, between 8pm on Friday, October 2 and 5pm, Saturday, October 3, a white specialised mountain bike was stolen from Newhouse Road.

And overnight on Monday, October 5, a blue and white Redemption Mountain Bike was stolen from Strathtay Road, Perth.

The thefts follow on from an incident in September when it was reported that three bikes had been taken from Perth ’s Muircroft Drive.

And in July, three mountain bikes were stolen from addresses in and around Perth in just a few days.

Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Tayside Division on 101 or any police officer.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
