
No one was hurt Tuesday evening when gunshots rang out on Interstate 80 in the south suburbs.
About 11:30 p.m., someone fired shots at a man driving westbound on I-80 near Torrence Avenue near Lansing, Illinois State Police said in a statement.
The 38-year-old man, who was uninjured, pulled over to the Lincoln Oasis and spoke to investigators, state police said. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
State police said the incident remains under investigation.
Earlier Tuesday, two people were shot about 3 p.m. on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.
State police shut down inbound lanes of traffic until 7:30 p.m. between 79th and 91st streets.
