Police are trying to track down a group of men who allegedly assaulted staff and a security guard at an East Maitland pub recently.
A group of men were drinking at The Bank Hotel about 1.10am on August 30 when a security guard - a 20-year-old man - asked them to leave the Melbourne Street premises.
Police said a physical altercation then took place between the guard and one of the men from the group, before the others assaulted the 20-year-old from behind.
Two pub employees - a 29-year-old old man and a 24-year-old man - intervened but were also assaulted by the group of men, police said.
Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District are investigating the incident and are calling for any witnesses to contact them.
