Police investigate after reports of three people in van 'acting suspiciously' around schools

Police are investigating reports of three people “acting suspiciously” around three West Lothian schools as parents took to social media to warn “keep an eye on kids”.

Locals posted on Facebook on Tuesday to warn that two men and a woman in a white van with a broken back light had been hanging around “watching kids”.

One post read: “Been seen in Fauldhouse and Stoneyburn and Addiewell. Keep eye on kids please.”

Another read: “Keep an eye on kids, two males, one female in white van with broken back light watching kids at schools. If seen get reg number.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the had received a complaint and were investigating.

The spokesperson continued: “Around 11.40am on Tuesday, November 8, police received a report of a three people in a van acting suspiciously in the Addiewell, Fauldhouse, and Longridge areas.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any concerns is asked to contact police via 101.”
