Police investigate after person found dead in Pontypridd

A house in Pontypridd has been sealed off after a person was found dead at the property.

UPDATE: Police have said a murder investigation has now been launched.

South Wales Police confirmed they were called to the house at Llys Graig Y Wion early Sunday morning.

Investigations are ongoing as officers try to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Police were called to a house at Llys Graig Y Wion in Pontypridd this morning (Google)

A police spokesman said: "We were called to an incident at a house Llys Graig Y Wion, Pontypridd at about 8.10am this morning.

"A person was pronounced dead at the scene and their death is being investigated.

"The area around the house is currently sealed off and enquiries are ongoing."
