Police Interceptors: When is the Channel 5 show on and what's it about

Police Interceptors follows Roads Police Units all across the UK but the new series focuses on West Yorkshire Police as they use every bit of kit available in the fight against crime.

The programme which largely features road traffic incidents, from drunk driving to crashes,  has been running since 2008 and is now on series 17.

The series is a Rawcut production and even has its own Facebook and Twitter pages which garner a large following.

As well as airing on Channel 5 the TV show is often on 5star showing reruns of older series.

What happens on the show?

Driving performance pursuit cars, along with police dogs and specialist firearms officers, cameras follow the Interceptors as they respond to 999 calls and clamp down on criminals.

The programme specialises in showing viewers high octane arrests and eye-watering police pursuits.

What's new in this series?

Series 15 and 16 both focused on West Yorkshire and once again the camera is back in the area.

As always series 17 of the show gives viewers unrestricted access to the countries most formidable law enforcers, cameras follow the officers every step of the way as they hunt down and lock up lawbreakers in one of the toughest parts of the UK to police.

When is Police Interceptors on TV?

Viewers can catch the show on Monday's at 8pm on Channel 5.
