Police inquiry after teenage girls 'touched inappropriately' by group of men in Weston

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question in relation to an incident of sexual assault in Weston-super-Mare.

Two teenage girls were outside the Premier Inn hotel on the seafront when they were approached by a group of men and touched inappropriately.

The incident happened late on the evening of Sunday, November 1, at between 11pm and 11.30pm.

Police have already arrested three men, aged 28, 29 and 35, who were questioned and released under investigation.

Detectives have studied CCTV in the area at the time, and have now released the image of a man they want to identify and speak to as part of their inquiries.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said anyone who recognises him should get in contact.

"Two teenage females were outside the seafront Premier Inn hotel when they were approached by a group of men and touched inappropriately," he said. "The three men arrested, aged 28, 29 and 35, have been released under investigation.

"CCTV enquiries have been subsequently carried out and show a male we wish to identify and speak to as part of our ongoing investigation. Anyone who recognises him, or witnessed what happened, should call 101 and give reference 5220247516 .
