Police 'increasingly concerned' over missing man last seen almost a month ago

Concerns are growing over a man who went missing almost a month ago in Wigan.

Daniel Hayes, who also goes by the surname Williams, was last seen on Shipham Close in Leigh on July 17.

He is described as having dark hair, a beard and wears glasses.

It's believed he may also be carrying a blue rucksack.

Daniel has no access to money and it is unclear if he currently has a mobile phone. Police say he may appear confused or anxious.

Officers are becoming “increasingly concerned” about his welfare.

In a statement, GMP Wigan West said: “Officers are continuing to appeal to the public's help to find a missing man from Wigan & Trafford.

“Daniel Hayes (also known as Williams), 34, was last seen on Shipham Close, Leigh on 17 July 2021.

“He is described as having dark hair, a beard, and wearing glasses. It is believed he may also be carrying a blue rucksack.

“Daniel has no access to money and it is unclear if he is in possession of a mobile phone.

“He may appear confused or anxious and officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Daniel and want to make sure he is safe and well.”
