Police 'increasingly concerned' for whereabouts of woman missing for nearly a week

Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a missing woman last seen several days ago.

Dana, 40, is from the Bolton area and hasn't been seen since 2.45pm on Monday (3 October) on Dobson Way in Ince, Wigan.

Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and are appealing to anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward immediately.

She is described as a white female Eastern European woman and is understood to speak very little English. She is of medium build, has long dark hair and is 5ft 9in tall.

Dana was last seen wearing a blue body warmer, black work boots, grey jeans with a black bag. Police have also released a photograph in the hope someone might recognise her.

In a post on Twitter, the force said: "Can you help us find Dana from Bolton? Dana was last seen on Dobson Park Way in Wigan.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Dana and want to make sure she is safe. Anyone with information about Dana’s whereabouts should contact us on 0161 856 5748."
