Police 'increasingly concerned' for welfare of missing Robert Sansom from Choppington

Police are appealing for help in locating a 60-year-old man who has gone missing from his home in Northumberland.

Robert Sansom was last heard from on Thursday at around 11am. He is then believed to have left his home address on Willow Bridge, Choppington.

Nobody has heard from Robert since and officers are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

It is believed Robert may have gone walking in the woods near his home.

A search is ongoing to locate Robert, and Northumbria Police is now asking anyone who may have seen him, or know his whereabouts, to get in touch.

Robert is described as 5ft 8ins, of average build and is believed to be wearing a burgundy coat.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 724 01/10/20.
