Police 'increasingly concerned' for welfare of missing pensioner

Update: Police have confirmed today (December 27) that Victor has been found.

Police say they are "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of a pensioner who was reported missing on Christmas Eve.

Victor Ashlee, 71, usually uses a walking frame but left his home in Easton without it.

It is not clear whether Mr Ashlee also has his necessary medication with him, police have said.

He is described as white, about 5ft 5ins tall and of medium to large build. He walks with a stooped back.

The clothing Victor was wearing when he went missing can be seen in CCTV photos released by Avon and Somerset Constabulary .

The footage was recorded in Broadmead on December 23.

A police spokesperson said: "We’re growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Victor Ashlee, reported missing from home on Christmas Eve.

"Victor - if you see this message please get in touch with family or friends or call 101 to let us know you are safe.

"If you know where Victor is now, call 999 immediately.

"If you have any other information which could help officers to find him, call 101 quoting reference 5219295995."
