Police 'increasingly concerned' for welfare of missing Durham schoolgirl Lisa-Marie Clarkson

A 15-year-old schoolgirl has gone missing , sparking an urgent police appeal.

Officers from Durham Constabulary say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of Lisa-Marie Clarkson.

The teenager was last seen in the Bishop Auckland area on Saturday and police have now put out a description of her in a bid to locate her.

Lisa-Marie is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, with black hair and was wearing a pink three-quarter length Parka coat and black trousers.

A photograph of Lisa-Marie has been released by Durham Constabulary on social media.

Durham Constabulary have now issued an urgent appeal asking for anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Have you seen Lisa-Marie Clarkson?

"We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the 15-year-old who was last seen in the Bishop Auckland area yesterday.

"Lisa-Marie is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, with black hair. She was wearing a pink ¾ length Parka coat and black trousers.

"If you know where Lisa-Marie is, please contact Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference number 424 of November 21."
