Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who disappeared from Dundee.

Alan Wallace was last seen leaving a property on Balmerino Place at around 1.40pm on Friday, October 4.

Police Scotland are currently speaking with friends and family as they continue to try to trace the 38-year-old’s whereabouts.

Officers are also in the process of assessing CCTV footage for any information that may help locate Alan.

Alan is described as white, 6ft 5in of a large build, bald, goatee beard and has the initials ‘AW’ tattooed on his neck.

Alan was wearing a grey North Face jacket and jeans at the time of his disappearance.

Inspector Gail Hill, of West Bell Street said: “Our concern for Alan is growing and we are liaising with friends and family to try and trace his whereabouts.

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and are appealing for any information that may help us locate Alan.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen a man fitting this description in and around the area to please get in contact.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: “Anyone with any information can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1739 of October 4 2019 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
