Police 'increasingly concerned' for safety of 13-year-old last seen on Market Street in Manchester city centre

Police say they are 'becoming increasingly concerned' for the welfare of a missing boy.

Joshua Davies, 13, is believed to be in Manchester city centre.

Greater Manchester Police has issued an appeal for the public's help to locate him.

Initially, Joshua was sighted on Stockport Road, Manchester, heading into Manchester city centre.

That was on Thursday.

Now the force has issued an update to say he was last spotted at around 4.30pm on Friday on Market Street in the city centre.

The appeal is being widely shared on social media.

He was last seen on Market Street (MEN)

No further details about the circumstances have been revealed by the force.

Joshua is described as around 5ft 4ins tall.

He was wearing black jogging bottoms, a black North Face jacket and black Nike trainers.

His picture is being shared alongside the appeal.

In a statement, GMP said on Saturday: "Police have new information about Joshua Davies, 13, who is still missing.

"Enquiries show he was last seen at around 4.30pm on Friday 4 October on Market Street, Manchester and is still believed to be in the city centre.

"He is described as approximately 5ft 4ins with light brown hair with a fringe.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward (MEN)

"Joshua was last seen wearing black jogging bottoms, a black North Face jacket with a black top underneath and black Nike trainers."

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned and want to make sure he is safe and well.

"Police are appealing for the public’s help and anyone who sees Joshua to get in contact."
