Missing Northumberland man William Tailford has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
Police had asked the public for help in finding the 62-year-old who has gone missing from his Prudhoe home.
William had last been seen by his family at around 7am on Wednesday.
Officers were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and appealed for information from the public but on Thursday, they confirmed the good news that William, known to some as Tony, had been found.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police also thanked everyone who had shared the appeal.
