Police 'increasingly concerned' about girl, 16, missing for two days

Police are increasingly concerned for a Merseyside teenager who has been missing since Sunday.

Sophie Francis, 16, was last seen at around 11.30am on July 4 in the Halewood area.

Police have said they are now "increasingly concerned" for her and asked for help from the public in tracing Sophie.

Sophie is around 5ft 5in tall and has a Liverpool accent, police said.

A spokesperson for the force said to the ECHO : "Please share and help us find missing teenager Sophie Francis.

"16-year-old Sophie was last seen in the Halewood area at around 11.30am on Sunday 4 July, and we're increasingly concerned as to her whereabouts.

"Sophie is white, 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with shoulder length brown hair, blue eyes, and Liverpool accent. When last seen, she was wearing a red coat, black hoodie, grey leggings and black trainers.

"Sophie also has links to the Kirkby, Huyton, Kensington and Garston areas of Merseyside, and to Cumbria.

"Please contact us with any sightings of Sophie here or pass on any other info via @MerPolCC on Twitter, 101 or Missing People on 116 000."
