Police incident in Partick: Woman assaulted near Thornwood roundabout

A 20-year-old woman was assaulted in Partick in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police were spotted at the scene near Thornwood Roundabout this afternoon and are investigating the incident, a spokesperson confirmed.

A Police Scotland representative said: "Officers are investigating a report that a 20-year-old woman was assaulted near the Thornwood Roundabout, Partick, in the early hours of Saturday, May 8.

"Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances."

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident on the other side of the city, a 25-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a disturbance in Pollok last night.

Glasgow Live also reported how two men have been arrested for attempted murder and a third man for assault following a disturbance in Blairdardie.

Two men, aged 38 and 41, were taken to hospital for treatment and their condition remains unknown, although yesterday cops said they had suffered ‘serious injuries’.
