Police have taped off a road in Cheetham Hill as they respond to an incident.
Officers were called to Spender Avenue to reports of an incident on Sunday evening.
Residents described seeing officers and plain clothes detectives patrolling the area.
A picture shows a police cordon sealing off a stretch of road, which is guarded by a uniformed officer.
