Police have closed a busy bridge in Glasgow due to an ongoing incident.
Officers are currently on the scene at Erskine Bridge and have shut off all access to the bridge in both directions.
Motorists are being warned that there is heavy traffic on both approaches and are being urged to use alternative routes.
A spokesman from Police Scotland said: We can advise that the Erskine Bridge is currently closed to traffic in both directions due to an ongoing police incident.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time and to use an alternative route.
"We cannot currently offer a timescale on when the bridge will reopen and further information will be provided in due course."
Update: The Erskine bridge has now reopened to traffic travelling northbound.
