Police in search for two men who 'ran off' after allegedly kicking man in the head in County Durham

Police have launched a search following an incident of serious assault in County Durham.

Durham Constabulary officers are looking for two men who reportedly kicked a man in the head in Windsor Drive, South Hetton, at around 7.30pm on November 5, before running off.

Emergency crews were present following the incident. The victim suffered lumps to his head and was checked over at hospital.

The men are described as aged between 35 and 40.

Officers investigating the incident have released a description of the two individuals.

One man was said to be wearing a black coat and the other a grey coat.

A spokesperson for the force urged members of the public to come forward with any information they may have which could assist with their investigation.

They said: "If you have any information, contact PC Tracy Cornfield by calling 101 with extension 202363 or email tracy.cornfield@durham.police.uk quoting incident reference number 413 of November 5."
