Police in Paisley appeal for information as search launched for missing man

Police in Paisley are working with travel companies to check if a missing man may have tried to travel abroad.

A search is underway for Altjohn Cobo, 20, who was last seen in the Christie Street area of Paisley on Wednesday, March 31 and was reported missing on Friday, April 9.

He is described as around 5ft 10ins, of medium build with short brown hair. It is unknown what he is wearing.

Sergeant Malcolm Clark said: "Altjohn speaks in broken English and does not know the area very well, therefore as time passes, our concern for his welfare grows.

“We know he has a small sum of money in his possession but there is no indication that he would try to travel anywhere outwith the area, we are working with travel companies to rule this out, however.

“We urge you to think back, have you seen him anywhere in the past week or so? Any information may be able to help us find him.

“Altjohn, if you see this, please get in touch with Police and let us know you are okay.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1180 of the Friday 9 April 2021.
