Police in Lanarkshire appeal for witnesses after motorbike stolen from outside Motherwell shop

Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for witnesses after a motorcycle was stolen outside a shop in Motherwell.

Between 6am on Tuesday, March 21, and 12.30pm on Friday, March 24, the black Benelli motorcycle (VRM: SD72 YKY) was stolen from the pavement opposite the Best One Convenience Store in Hamilton Road.

The motorcycle was covered in police tape after being involved in a traffic incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “This is a busy area and we believe there will have been numerous people using the street during the times above.

“If you saw this motorcycle being moved or uplifted, or you have any information regarding the incident, please contact 101 quoting incident number 1683 of 24th April 2023.

“If you know any information but would rather remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 on online here. Your details will be kept 100 per cent anonymous. Always.”
