Police in Lanarkshire appeal after man hospitalised after 'serious assault'

A 26-year-old man has been hospitalised after a “serious assault” in Shotts.

The incident happened around 3.30am on Sunday, October 3 when the man was walking along Easter Road.

Investigating officers say he was attacked by a male and sustained a serious head injury.

He was taken to Monklands Hospital for treatment, with police now asking for help from the public.

DC Scott Johnston told Lanarkshire Live : “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or may have dashcam footage which could assist our investigation to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.

Information can be left via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
