A frantic search is underway amid reports that an elderly man has plunged into the River Tay.
Cops are currently investigating near Tay Street, Perth.
The man is described as being older, wearing a beige suit and carrying an orange bag.
Officers are appealing for anyone in the area to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We are asking for anyone who may have witnessed a male in or near the water around 0630hrs this morning to contact Police Scotland."
Anyone with information can contact officers on 101 quoting incident number 0971 of June 14 2020.
