A man was arrested after cops were led on a car chase through residential streets in Glasgow.
Police flagged a black BMW X5 to pull over on Torphin Crescent in the Greenfield area of the city at around 5.50pm on Saturday night.
The driver failed to stop and led cops on a police chase to Edinburgh Road.
The driver then pulled over and the occupants in the car fled the scene on foot.
One man was then arrested in the Haymarket Street area.
A large police presence was reported by residents in the surrounding streets.
An abandoned BMW with extensive damage to the vehicle was seen abandoned in the residential street.
Five officers can also be seen surrounding the vehicle as a police car remains parked behind it.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and no one was injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A vehicle failed to stop for officers when signalled to do so on Torphin Crescent, Glasgow, at around 5.50pm on Saturday, 10 July.
"A short pursuit took place before those within the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
“One man was arrested in the Haymarket Street area.
"Enquiries remain ongoing.
"Nobody was injured during the incident.”
Officers are still trying to locate "several" individuals following the incident and anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 2819 of 10/07/21.
