Police in attendance at Co Down estates after report of man with firearm

Police are in attendance at two Co Down housing estates following an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It's believed that an incident occurred in the Glebetown Drive area of Downpatrick on Sunday May 3 at around 12.20am.

Police are currently in attendance on the Model Farm and Flying Horse estates.

A PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live: "Officers responded [on Sunday], and attended the address where it had been reported that a male was in the area armed with a firearm.

"Police continue to conduct enquiries in the area this afternoon.

"Anyone with any information or anyone who was in the area at the time is encouraged to contact police on 101 quoting reference 43 of 03/05/20 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
