Police in Airdrie launch frantic appeal to find missing schoolboy

Police in Airdrie say they are becoming increasingly concerned over the welfare of a missing 15-year-old boy.

Corey Weallans was last seen about 4am on Sunday (February 12), with officers now asking for help in tracing the schoolboy.

He is descried as 5ft 7in with fair/blond hair, of stocky build and having a fair complexion.

When last seen, Corey was wearing a grey Nike jacket, cream Nike fleece, black jogging bottoms and grey Nike Air Max trainers.

A police source told Lanarkshire Live: “Anyone who may have seen Cory since this time, or who has any information which may assist us with enquiries, is urged to contact us on 101.”

Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
